Ram Kumar Chauhan

Mr. Ram Kumar Chauhan is the Managing Director of Global Hatchery Pvt. Ltd. and Global Birds Pvt. Ltd. He is also a promoter of Global Agro Products Ltd., GAP Marketing Pvt. Ltd., Global Transportation Pvt. Ltd., and Global Corporate Investment Pvt. Ltd.

With nearly 25 years of professional experience in Nepal's poultry industry, Mr. Chauhan has built extensive expertise in breeder farm management, hatchery operations, day-old chick production, commercial egg production, and poultry marketing. Throughout his career, he has played a significant role in advancing modern poultry production and strengthening Nepal's poultry sector.

Mr. Chauhan has received specialized training in poultry management from the Lohmann School, Germany, breeder management training from the Dr. B. V. Rao Institute of Poultry Management and Technology, Pune, India, and advanced agricultural technologies training from the Arava International Center for Agricultural Training, Israel. He has also participated in numerous international poultry exhibitions, conferences, and technical seminars, continuously enhancing his knowledge of modern poultry production and management.

He has actively contributed to the poultry industry through various leadership roles. Currently, he serves as the Vice President of the Nepal Poultry Entrepreneurs' Forum. Previously, he served for more than eight years as a Central Committee Member of the Nepal Egg Producers' Association. He also served as a Committee Member of the Nepal Hatchery Industry Association, Bagmati Province, and later as Secretary of the Association in Gandaki Province. Beyond the poultry industry, Mr. Chauhan is actively involved in community service through Lions International. He is a Charter Member and Past President of the Lions Club of Kohalpur City and currently serves as a Director of the Lions Club of Chitwan Youth under District 325 R.

Mr. Chauhan holds a Master's degree in Agricultural Economics from the Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science (IAAS), Tribhuvan University, Rampur, Chitwan, Nepal. During his postgraduate studies, he conducted research on the broiler value chain in Chitwan District, contributing valuable insights into Nepal's poultry sector.

As part of his professional development, Mr. Chauhan has visited numerous countries, including India, Germany, Israel, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, Sri Lanka, Italy, China, the Maldives, Austria, Switzerland, Vatican City, and France, gaining valuable international exposure to advanced poultry technologies, agribusiness practices, and global industry trends.
