Mr. Ram Kumar Chauhan is the Founding Director of Global Hatchery Pvt. Ltd. and Global Birds Pvt. Ltd. He is also the promoter of Global Agro Products Pvt. Ltd., GAP Marketing Pvt. Ltd., and Global Protein and Oil Pvt. Ltd. With significant experience in both breeder farms and commercial egg production at the management level, he has been serving as the Production Director at Global Hatchery Pvt. Ltd. for the past nine years. Mr. Chauhan has nearly twenty years of experience in poultry breeding, chick production, egg production, and marketing in Nepal.
Furthermore, Mr. Chauhan received training in poultry management from Lohmann School, Germany, and participated in breeder management training at Dr. B.V. Rao Institute of Poultry Management and Technology, Pune, India. He also received training in Advanced Agricultural Technologies from Arava International Centre for Agriculture Training in Israel. Additionally, he has actively participated in various exhibitions and seminars related to poultry management in different countries.
Mr. Chauhan currently holds the position of Secretary in the Nepal Hatchery Industry Association-Gandaki Province and is a Third Vice President of the Nepal Poultry Entrepreneurs’ Forum. He previously served as a Central Committee Member in the Nepal Egg Producers’ Association for over eight years and as a Committee Member in the Nepal Hatchery Industry Association-Bagmati Province for two years. He is also a Charter Member of the Lions Club of Kohalpur City and served as its President. Currently, he is the Third Vice President of the Lions Club of Chitwan Youth of the District 325 R.
Mr. Chauhan holds a post-graduate degree in Agricultural Economics from Tribhuvan University (Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science) in Rampur, Chitwan, Nepal. During his studies, he conducted research on the broiler value chain in Chitwan District, Nepal. Additionally, he has visited several countries including India, Israel, Germany, Thailand, UAE, Sri Lanka, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Vatican City, and France.
